Since our inception in 1988, we are engaged in building the coping capacities of the Communities in containing
the challanges posed in taking care and supporting their children with mental/intellectual disorders. We are working in around
120 villages forming part of Tadipatri, Putluru, Ellanuru, Yadiki and Pedapappuru Revenue Mandals of Ananthapur District in
Andhra Pradesh.
The Pannier of our Development Agend includes offering Special Education to the Mentally Retarded and Spastic
Children, integrating these children into mainstream education, inducing Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) for persons
with disabilities, imparting Life Skills to the children especially Girls with mental/intellectual challanges, Organizing
periodical medical camps and counselling centers, providing referral services and securing Mobility Aids etc,.
We work with synergetic alliance and support from local community, Women Self Help Groups, CBOs, Lions Club,
Rotary Club and other Social Organizations.
Despite of our Active presence and tangible interventions, unfortunately we could not muster much support especially
in the form of funding from any Donor Agency. That is the reason why we could not construct our own school cum rehabilitation
centre.
We are currently running a small Facility which can cater to around 25 Mentally Retarded and Spastic Children
in a rented premises. We have strong Community Felt Need (CFN) for establishing full fledged facilities to contain Physically/Mentally/Visually
challanged children.
With over 20 years of our presence in this sector, we could develop a sensitised, supportive and dedicated team
of Volunteers and could muster the good will and support from the Community. God willing, we are planning to establish an
exclusive "CARE CUM REHABILITATION CENTER" for the children with different disabilities in Tadipatri with an estimated capital
out lay of INR: 2.5 Millions (equivalant to US $ 51000). We are permitted to receive Foreign Contributions and have Tax exempt
status u/sec.12-A and 80-G of Income Tax Act-1961. We are looking for Individual/ Institutional Donor's support to accomplish
this noble task.
